The Monday Morning Memo

RabbitHoleHorizontal_NOrabbit_780If you hang out with the wizard long enough, there are certain phrases you’ll hear him say a lot.
“Take your inspiration from wherever you find it, no matter how ridiculous.”
That’s one of my favorites. You’ll also hear him say, “Repurpose the proven.”

VidBetter_Logo_StickAndHoopI was looking over the wizard’s shoulder as he wandered through 1,400 VidBetter logos that had been submitted in response to the inspiration provided by his son, Rex.

Wizzo is an agonizingly slow writer. It takes the man FOREVER to write a simple, 3-sentence email. So when I saw him begin typing a note to a stranger, my ears perked up. This was a very big investment for him.

He was writing a note to the designer that had submitted the design of the girl with the stick and hoop. He was blown away by the artistry of it and asked if she might be willing to draw some other things for him in that same style.
