on the wall behind – and to the right – of the lectern. 

I’m not always in this painting, but today I wanted to let you see
exactly where I’ll be sitting in your copy of this painting
when it arrives at your house this Christmas.*

Indiana Beagle, esquire,
of the Santa Maria Beagles on my father’s side
and the Mayflower Beagles on my mother’s.
