Springtime pierced the pale heart of winter
with a shout of green and a blade of grass.

The rumbles of summer are wooden wagon wheels
banging hollow in the dust far away.

Autumn sings of passage in a minor key
as the quail fly up for the hunters.

The white of winter
is a splinter
under a fingernail.

Our Earth experiences seasons as it orbits the Sun because of its 23.5° tilt.

What does your tilt cause you to experience?
Toward what are you inclined?

Are you tilted toward or away from mass production?
Toward or away from romance?
Toward or away from history?
Toward or away from dance?

Your tilt alters your perspective.
Your inclination gives you opinions.
The way you lean affects your mood.

So here are the questions.
Is your leaning correct?
Are the rest of us simply wrong?
Are your inclinations on the button?
Are you tilted exactly the right way?

Our planet says 23 and a half degrees are proper and holy and right and true.

But that is the planet.

What say you?

Roy H. Williams

PS – Hey, I warned you that the wizard was feeling colorful, right? If today’s memo didn’t weird you out, you might enjoy reading (or listening to) the short book the wizard wrote about his childhood. All you have to do is go to MondayMorningMemo.com and look in the header bar for “Roy H. Williams.” When you pull it down, you’ll see the third thing on the list is Sundown in Muskogee. It’s unlike anything else the wizard has ever written. You’ll hate it or love it. Word. – Indiana Beagle

BeagleFlatcap_thumb“What to Do When You’re Surrounded by Doubters, Bean Counters, Nitpickers and Engineers” is the title of the video the wizard is recording today for the American Small Business Institute. It should be posted online in a day or two. I’ve read his notes and the four steps he recommends are awesome. At least one new video is posted each week and some of the instructors Vice Chancellor Whittington is lining up to record additional videos are fantastic. Video editors and special effects artists are being interviewed for full-time employment this week. Wizard Academy is serious about the videos of the American Small Business Institute.

Five weeks ago the wizard wrote a memo called “Who Deflated Christmas?” but instead of publishing it at that time I convinced him to let me post it as page 3 in today’s rabbit hole. I’ll explain my logic when you get there. – Indy

Random Quote:

“There was something that He hid from all men when He went up a mountain to pray… There was something that He covered constantly by abrupt silence or impetuous isolation… There was some one thing that was too great for God to show us when He walked upon our earth, and I have sometimes fancied that it was His mirth.”

- G.K. Chesterton, sent to me by my partner, Jeff Sexton
