Is it possible to live in this digital age and NOT lose our love of stories and play-acting and silliness? Consider for a moment the character of Captain Jack Sparrow played by Johnny Depp in Pirates of the Caribbean. Consider Robert Downey Jr.’s portrayal of Sherlock Holmes.

“Downey, like Johnny Depp, has found a way of remaining hip in the most frivolous and commercial projects — a quick wiggle of the eyes, a half smile, a beat or two of silence, and he conveys that he realizes it’s all nonsense. His attitude is: Yes, I know, but why not come along for the ride?”

– David Denby,
speaking of Robert Downey Jr.’s portrayal of Sherlock Holmes in a review of that movie for The New Yorker, Jan. 4, 2010

Be like Downey and Depp.
Realize that yes, it’s all nonsense, but why not come along for the ride?
Working together, we can re-inflate Christmas.
What do you say?

If all your ads collectively are driving this week’s traffic, your ads are relational.”
