The Monday Morning Memo

August 22, 2017, the day after the total eclipse of the sun in Nashville,

the Wizard of Ads Partners concluded their semi-annual partner meeting in a private room upstairs at B.B. King’s in Nashville. As we were walking out past the band, I was reminded of the lyrics of Nashville Cats, an old Lovin’ Spoonful song from 1966:

Well, there’s thirteen hundred and fifty two
Guitar pickers in Nashville
And they can pick more notes than the number of ants
On a Tennessee ant hill.
Yeah, there’s thirteen hundred and fifty two
Guitar cases in Nashville
And any one that unpacks his guitar could play
Twice as better than I will.
