The Monday Morning Memo

A Google Image search will reveal plenty of websites where this photo has appeared, but none of those websites can tell you where, or when, or by whom it was taken. This fascinating photo sprang into existence only about a year ago. But in that delicious moment before you began reading this disclosure, you traveled through time and space to a place that has never existed, as you admired the style and symmetry of an imaginary world. That place has never existed in objective reality, but it was as real as your kitchen in perceptual reality, that private world where you live largely alone. The communication that is happening right now between you and me is possible only because it is happening in a space where your private, perceptual reality overlaps with mine. Do you now understand the power of shape, proximity, symbol, and radiance? And those are just 5 of The 12 Languages of the Mind.

Random Quote:

“There is a story that some years ago an interested mother wrote to a principal of a school, ‘Don’t teach my boy poetry, he’s going to run for Congress,’

President John F. Kennedy told this story in 1962 and commented on it: ‘I’ve never taken the view that the world of politics and the world of poetry are so far apart. I think politicians and poets share at least one thing, and that is their greatness depends upon the courage with which they face the challenges of life.'”
