From USA Today – …Jenny Sanford later released a statement saying she asked him to leave the home they shared with their four young sons two weeks ago. “During this short separation it was agreed that Mark would not contact us,” she said, explaining why she was unaware of his whereabouts last weekend.

“Mark has earned a chance to resurrect our marriage,” said Jenny Sanford, a former Wall Street executive who ran her husband's campaigns and whom Lee Bandy, veteran political writer for The State, called “the power behind the throne.”
