The Monday Morning Memo

On a Happier Note…
Dec. 23, 2009

This is your Art Gallery/Banquet Hall/Lecture Hall/Library/Stardeck Tower.

The gravel approach will be deepened and paved with flagstone and the ledges to the left and right will be cleaned and landscaped.  When you reach the McDowall entrance to the Art Gallery, you're 14 feet underground. That door is nearly 11 ft. tall. The one above it, the Backus entrance to the Property Guys Banquet Hall,  is nearly 12 ft.

Those 4 side-by-side glass doors are MUCH bigger than they look in this photo. When the tower is completed, these doors – donated by the daughters of Dave and Julie Young – will open from the Lecture Hall (as yet unsponsored) onto a balcony.  That balcony will be covered by a copper roof suspended from iron struts descending from the 4 implanted iron diamonds you see in line with the trio of windows donated by Scott and Lindsey Fraser, just below the McInnis Stardeck.

Like I said, this is your tower, your school.
McDowall, Backus, Property Guys, Young, Fraser, McInnis.
And those are just 5 of the more than 300 families
that have joined together to build a business school.
