The Monday Morning Memo

Speedy Peacock is the official chronicler of Wizard Academy. A professional photographer, Speedy has been showing up at portentous moments since the earliest days of the school. His photos, along with the photos of Wen McNally and other acadgrads, comprise our visual history. Those photos will be important one day.

Although we have hundreds of photos by Speedy, I was worried that we didn’t have one OF Speedy. Then I remembered… he’s the second from the left – the guy with the moustache – in the banner photo that appears in the masthead at WizardAcademy.org. That image is a horizontal slice of the photo of Speedy’s first graduating class back in 2002.

That class, as I recall, was an Art Marketing Workshop. We should probably schedule another one of those real soon. Interested? Let Kristin@WizardAcademy.org hear from you. If enough people contact her, Corrine Taylor will schedule a class and the wizard will teach you how to make people walk away with your art and leave piles of money in its place.

Does it surprise you to know that Wizzo has sold a few million dollars worth of art?

He hates it when I call him Wizzo.

I hope he doesn’t read this.
