The Monday Morning Memo

You know I’m a manly beagle, right?
Those emo-videos from McDonald’s
didn’t make you think otherwise, did they?

Actually, those Japanese ads for the 2003 Tomato McGrand
are evidence of the fact that Asian and Oriental societies are
swinging into  a Me while the Americas, Australia and western
Europe are swinging into a We. In other words, 2003 was
culturally 1963 in Asia and the Orient. If Wizzo is right,
they’re moving toward 1983-style conspicuous consumption.
Do you figure they’ll go with big hair,
glitter balls and disco, the way we did?

I’m probably going to get in trouble for telling you more
about Wizzo’s new book than I should.  Pendulum will be
available in the spring when the grass is green, the flowers
are blooming and birds are singing. With all that happening,
you’ll have a lot better things to do than read,
but Wizzo never listens to my advice.

Did you know Wizard Academy’s own Peter Nevland
knew Justin Bieber before Bieber was

Bieber?

For real. I’m not joking. Take a look.

“There are things that people feel but are afraid to say because they fear that people will think less of them. In moderation this is etiquette. But in excess it is cowardice.”
