The Monday Morning Memo

Another writer Wizzo admires is columnist Leonard Pitts.
Wizzo was a fan of the Pittsmeister long before they gave Leonard the Pulitzer Prize. Here’s a classic quote from Pitts, “an equally flawed friend with whom you can connect”:

“What do I think of Woodstock ’94? Damn, this thing is BIG.
Takes a couple’a hours to walk the field. Woodstock ’94 is computerized, commercialized, digitized and revitalized. And me, I’m just another media weasel trying to make sense of it all.“

– Leonard Pitts,
10 years before winning his 2004 Pulitzer Prize

“…I bathed in the Euphrates when dawns were young.
I built my hut near the Congo and it lulled me to sleep.
I looked upon the Nile and raised the pyramids above it.
I heard the singing of the Mississippi when Abe Lincoln went
down to New Orleans, and I’ve seen its muddy bosom
turn all golden in the sunset….“
– Langston Hughes, A Negro Speaks of Rivers

“

We strongly prepare every new client for a first year that will require their patience and commitment, qualities that are shared by all the business owners that have strong customer-bonding campaigns, and are absent in business owners who cannot suppress the desire for
verifiable results in the short term.
