The Monday Morning Memo

The photo on the previous page
is what the Cognoscenti call a Partial Reveal. In that photo we saw 7 of the 11 Farm Cats – only part of them – and we did not see their faces. So again, we only saw part of part of them.

Partial Reveals trigger curiosity.

The photo above is what we call a Full Reveal. It satisfies the mystery created by the Partial Reveal. It soothes our curiosity and whispers sweetly to Pattern Recognition in the right hemispheres of our brains.

Professsor Chris Maddock (bearded, back row, center,) was astounded by the pent-up talent within this group of writers. With only the gentlest of instruction they splattered pen onto paper that would make Shakespeare tremble in fear.

The class was Advanced Wordsmithing.

Yes, this is the same Chris I wrote about 16 years ago in a Monday Morning Memo that later became a chapter in one of the Wizard of Ads trilogy.
