The Monday Morning Memo

The BeagleSword was the psychological canyon
that exists in the mind of your customer
and the rabbit hole was a walk with David,
one of the heroes of Wizard Academy.

We’re given more details about the life of David than of any other
character in the Bible. David also wrote many of the Psalms.
When David was feeling blue, he personified the adage,
“It’s lonely at the top.” The following is the wizard’s
interpretation of what David seems to be
saying to God in his blue Psalms.
Perhaps you can relate.

The Psalm of a King

The dragons are too many

And I am weary.

Obstructionists tie ropes

To my ankles
And believe they are right.

Betrayers rally men

Against me
And believe they are right.

Tiny men like mosquitoes
Suck
 my blood
And believe they are right.

Those who love me

Point at every danger and difficulty
And believe they are helping.

The dragons are too many, Lord,

And I am weary.
And alone.

Hey, if you thought that was disturbing, check this out. – Indy

Random Quote:

“Ritalin is a stimulant to normal people but acts as a depressant when given to a hyperactive child. For me, the book of Ecclesiastes is like that. I’ve been fascinated by it all my life.

Ecclesiastes is depressing to a person in high spirits, but when I’m feeling dark, it lifts me out of my gloom. Here’s an example from Chapter 8:

‘For every matter there is a time and judgment, though the misery of man increases greatly. For he does not know what will happen: so who can tell him when it will occur? No one has power over the spirit to retain the spirit, and no one has power in the day of death. There is no release from that war.’

See what I mean? It says ‘Nothing really matters because you’re going to die. And so is everyone else. So the thing that has you down is really no big thing, see?’

Like I said, it only works if you’re feeling depressed.”
