Faulkner had no sister Darlena.
In fact, he had no sisters at all.
The only true parts were that he won 
the Pulitzer and Nobel prizes and died in 1962.

William Faulkner was the oldest of 4 brothers.

The others were:
Murry Charles “Jack” Faulkner (June 26, 1899-Dec. 24, 1975)
John Wesley Thompson Faulkner III, (Sept. 24, 1901-March 28, 1963) and
Dean Swift Faulkner (August 15, 1907-Nov. 10, 1935)
