I Made It Up.
Leicester, (pronounced “Lester,”)
– the name of our imaginary, prehistoric bird –
was actually the name of Ernest Hemingway’s
younger brother who, in 1964, founded his own nation on
an 8 x 30-foot bamboo raft anchored to an old Ford engine block
in 50 feet of water 8 miles southwest of Jamaica.
I definitely made up the part about the prehistoric bird,
but what about this new bit involving Leicester Hemingway?
