The Monday Morning Memo

I sooooo made that up.
But you wanted one, didn’t you? Admit it.

The Random Girl became so big on YouTube
that Ryan Seacrest undertook to learn who she is.
Her name is Zendee Rose Tenerefe and she’s been working
very hard to be discovered on YouTube for the past 11 months,
posting dozens of videos, including one of her audition for X-Factor.
Her early “intentional” videos have each had 2,000 to 7,000 views;
roughly 500 to 600 views per month. Then, not many days ago, when
she began going from karaoke machine to karaoke machine, trusting
that someone with an iPhone would eventually capture some “mystery”
footage of her, it all paid off. The grocery store video that went viral
quickly gathered more than 2 million views and brought her to
the attention of the powers that be.
Her secret: Never quit trying.
Success is often the product of Plan B

or Plan C or D or, in the case of Henry Ford, “T.”

Random Quote:

“Almost all Nobel laureates in the sciences are actively engaged in arts as adults. They are twice as likely as the average scientist to be a photographer; four times as likely to be a musician; eight times more likely to do woodworking or some other craft; twelve times more likely to write poetry and literature; seventeen times as likely to be an artist; and twenty-five times as likely to sing, dance, or act.”
