The Monday Morning Memo

I MADE IT UP.

The echo of a lie is hard to detect
when solid bits of truth are ringing like
bells in the background. This is a technique
known to every important political speechwriter.

There really was a book called
Seasons of the Soul written by a Mexican
mystic named Conchita Cabrera de Armida
who lived from 1862 to 1937 but she never
said a thing about any future presidential election.

Strangely, even though I openly admit I MADE IT UP,
this silly story is likely to be retold until such
time as people begin to forget that part.
People remember the interesting bits
and forget the forgettable ones.

If you click the book you’ll be whisked into a very interesting side tunnel
that will become even more interesting 6 pages from now but the only way
out of that side tunnel will be to back-click to this page.  Just so you know.

“My life is a deflated bounce castle. I have potential to be playful and fun, but the moment I put myself out there, people will jump up and down on me.”
