Marley Porter and Princess Pennie and me posed with Jane DeDecker’s team this week after they delivered the academy’s new sculpture celebrating the heoric feminine, Into the Wind.

Wizzo, as always, took the photos.

BELOW: The plan is to remove the temporary railing and mount Into the Wind so that the bow of the ship and the upper body of the female figure lean out over the bridge above the becauseway that leads into the art gallery below. In the photo above, imagine her slid forward about 14 inches. That’s where she’ll stand.  The new handrail will (hopefully) mimic water as it splashes back from the ship’s bow.The handrail won’t touch the sculpture but must come within 4 inches of the scupture to be legal…
