The Monday Morning Memo

You gotta know you’re going to see the wise men.
Check out this painting. It looks like I’m sitting on the shelf of a shadowbox, right? Look again. What appears to be a shadowbox is just part of the painting.

Wizzo bought another 3-D painting like this but it was a lot more expensive because it was painted a long time ago. It’s called
The Italian Prints.
Yeah, it’s a pun, because the prints in the painting contain a prince.

Both are presumably Italian.

It was painted by Anna Fisher, (1873-1942)

Random Quote:

“Shadows speak of mystery.
Light speaks of revelation.

Overmuch shadow is gloom, then darkness.
Overmuch light is boring, then blinding.

Photographs, paintings, literature and romance require navigation of light and shadow, the revealed and unrevealed.
