The Monday Morning Memo

I’m glad you’ve decided to spend a day in the tower with the wizard and all the Wizards of Ads. It’s going to help you lift your business to a whole new level. Every time we’ve offered a special workshop like this, its always sold out really fast, but we evidently chose an inconvenient day for this year’s AdTalks (Feb. 26) because so far only a handful of people have signed up. WOW! You and those other few folks are the luckiest people on earth! You’re going to live the dream. In the future, no one is going to believe you when you tell them you had a huge team of the world’s most highly paid ad writers helping you make decisions for a whole day and all it cost you was $1,000. (The event is $1,500 but you got the early-bird discount of $250 PLUS you used my personal promo code BEAGLE for a second $250 discount. You, my friend, are one smart puppy.) I look forward to seeing you in Austin.  Arooo – Indy Beagle

Random Quote:

“It has seemed sometimes that the little men in scientific work assumed the awe-fullness of a priesthood to hide their deficiencies, as the witch doctor does with his stilts and high masks, as the priesthoods of all cults have, with secret or unfamiliar language or symbols. It is usually found that only the little or stuffy men object to what is called ‘popularization,’ by which they mean writing with a clarity understandable to one not familiar with the tricks and codes of the cult. We have not known a single great scientist who could not discourse freely and interestingly with a child. Can it be that the haters of clarity have nothing to say, have observed nothing, have no clear picture of even their own fields? A dull man seems to be a dull man no matter what his field, and of course it is the right of a dull scientist to protect himself with feathers and robes, emblems and degrees, as do other dull men who are potentates and grand imperial rulers of lodges of other dull men.”
