“Without oak” means they age it in stainless steel tanks instead of oak casks. Anyway, the taste is very bright and clean. The sound I heard instantly – and I know this is going to sound weird – was the sound of that metal triangle the chuckwagon cook rings at supper time during a cattle drive. Seriously.
But I’m not saying it was a one-dimensional taste that could be represented by a single note. Really, it sounded more like this old guy rubbing the rims of wine glasses in Alexandria, Virginia. Love it or hate it.
