The Monday Morning Memo

Wizzo’s company has been proud to sponsor the Weiner Dog Races in Buda, Texas, each year for more than a decade. This is the T-shirt Sean Taylor designed as a fund-raiser for this year’s race. The Buda Weiner Dog races draw more than 600 weiner dogs from around the world each year. Wizzo does it because it’s ridiculous. And absurdity, done correctly, is an art.

Here’s an example. My man Manley Miller sent me an email on March 29 at 9:34PM. Manley said, “This Happy Easter video won’t be at 5,000 views for long.” I clicked the link at 4:53AM, just 7 hours and 19 minutes later. The video was at 731,026 views. Absurdity done correctly is an art. I’m gonna say that again. Absurdity done correctly is an art.

“We are all in such a hurry, we want everything at once. We believe that all truth can be stated in a few minutes. The answer to that is that it cannot.”
