The Monday Morning Memo

The BeagleSword was thunk

and the rabbit hole was perspective.

I’m interested in hearing Wizzo’s story about
why the academy has to have Jane DeDecker’s
Old Man and the Sea, aren’t you?
I’ve seen the Academy’s bank account.
Just between you and me, Wizzo is dreaming.
If DeDecker agreed to do it for 12 dollars
Wizzo couldn’t pay her.
It’s going to be interesting to see
how this turns out.

Random Quote:

“Four kids are watching an old TV show…

Big Girl: I can’t believe Mom knows someone who was on Real World.

Little Girl: How is this even a reality show? No one’s singing, cooking, or exploiting their children.

Little Boy: What’s that line down the front of their jeans?

Big Boy: I believe that’s called a crease. You have to understand it was 1994. Television itself was in its infancy. You had to be there at a certain time to watch a show. Or it was gone. Forever.

Little Boy: No pause button? No DVR?

Big Girl: AND you had to watch the commercials.

Little Boy and Little Girl: WHAT?!”
