The Monday Morning Memo

In science, Chaos is not randomness, but its opposite.

Chaos is a higher level of order, too big to be contained within your mind. You can understand the concept of eternity, but you cannot hold the totality of it in your mind. Chaos is like that.

A fractal image is a map of a chaotic system and is therefore guided by the law of self-similarity; this means that if you look at a fractal pattern and zoom in on any segment, that segment will look like the larger section you started with. You can see this in the video at the bottom of the page. The DNA of the infinite macro is contained within the micro.

A fractal image is effectively a 2-dimensional map of a 3-dimensional system .

The 12 Languages of the Mind are like that.

Like fractal images, the 12 Languages are self-similar. They are also self-contained. You can explain and expand each of the 12 by using only the other 11.

This gives me confidence they can be used as a functional operating system.

Random Quote:

“Children who do not read the important books when young fail to learn the great lessons of history, and will become illiterates wedded to television… I feel strongly that we need people who can read and write and are not couch potatoes.”

- James Michener, This Noble Land, p. 100/101, (1996)
