The Monday Morning Memo

Dullness is what happens when conformity reigns supreme.

My friend Richard started with nothing but an idea.
He had no money, no education and no experience.
But he had an idea and he had courage.

Today, twenty years later, he’s worth many tens of millions of dollars. But it wasn’t the power of his idea that made him successful. His courage is what set him apart.

Richard was nominated to be Entrepreneur of the Year in the state where he lives but the award went to the fifth president of a 70+ year-old company.

Wait. I always thought of an entrepreneur as being a person who starts from scratch, begins with nothing but an idea and flings himself headlong into it.
