1964: after Dobie Gillis but before Gilligan, Denver was in a beach movie.

For those too young to remember the innocent beginnings of the Baby Boom era, the scene below captures them perfectly.

If you've seen the wizard's presentation on Society's 40 Year Pendulum you'll remember the most recent Idealist cycle began in 1963. The hunger of idealists is for spontaneity and freedom of individual expression. When that cycle zenithed in 1983, these vitues had devolved into plastic, hollow, phony posing.
