The Monday Morning Memo

I saw a one-panel cartoon recently
where a fortuneteller gazes deeply
into her crystal ball, then says to her client,
“You will make the same foolish mistakes
you have made before, not only once
but many, many times again.”

Let's try not to be that client.

The BeagleSword was Delusional
and the rabbit hole was an exploration
of Knuckleheadism,
the fastest growing
religion in America.

The video below is supposedly a Russian singer
but look closely and I think you'll agree that it is
our good friend J.P. Engelbrecht
in one of his happy moods.

Consider:  1. this supposedly “Russian” singer does not sing Russian.
2. J.P. Engelbrecht does not speak Russian.
Therefore: this singer is J.P. Engelbrecht.
Post hoc, ergo, propter hoc.

Here's a photo of J.P. when he was younger.
You be the judge.

Random Quote:

“Since Charley died, at least a hundred people have offered me dogs, but that’s not the way to do it. I’ll want to see the sire and know the dam and watch the litter for a time – not that one is better, but that one is more like me than another.”

- John Steinbeck, in a handwritten letter circa 1963
