My grocery store received the Master Marketer Award for Radio Spot, Tier 1, at the SuperValu National Exposition in Minneapolis last week.

Simply put, our commercial, voted on by an independent group of ad students from two universities, was named the best in the grocery landscape for last year from the list of entries.

The radio spot was the work of my partner Lee Armbuster and spotlights our phenomenal Cheap Chicken Tuesday program. Lee is the right brained complement to my left brained style.

Since we launched this program at both stores, customer trips and sales are up.

We played this spot on the radio for a week or so but now play it exclusively in our stores every 30 minutes or so.
