Wizard Academy’s student mansion, Engelbrecht House, recalls the
Garden of Allah. Students stay here for free, the guests of other students
who built these 14 rooms for them. While you’re here, be sure to look at the name on the door of your room, then scribble a quick note to that person in the journal you’ll find on the nightstand. Then you can read the notes of others
who have stayed in that room before you. It’s a tradition.

*It is no accident that I am here on leap day. I have leaped to the other side. See ya! Greeting fellow travelers to this magical land, carved into both the mind and sand. I have searched for nearly thirty years. Today, I am home; yet not Home because I am empowered with understanding of me, maybe you. Thank you, Thank you, Thank you – Pennie, Roy, Dr. Grant, Peter Nevland, Dean Rotbart and everyone who has given mightily to this precious institution.
Do you remember how your fellow cognoscenti, Cedric Yau,
was in the process of producing the barely-off-Broadway play,
Around the World in 80 Days? Well, the show is now open and the
reviews have been RAVE, (and from critics who are not usually kind.)
Here’s some footage from the play, itself. Worth a trip to New York, for sure.
