The Monday Morning Memo

RabbitHoleBanner_Mirth_780

Three Versions of History. Pick the one you like best. Be happy with it.

1: America was born when religious-freedom-hungry Pilgrims disembarked the Mayflower in 1620.
2: America was born when a group of rich white guys who didn’t want to pay taxes threw a shipload of tea into Boston Harbor 153 years later, in 1773.
3: America was born 3 years after that when our Declaration of Independence officially announced America’s separation from England.

Beagle_UncleSam_LargeThumbIf you chose version 1, you prefer FOX News.
If you chose version 2, you don’t prefer FOX News.
If you chose version 3, you try to avoid discussions of politics and religion.

Heh, heh, heh.

Random Quote:

“Some made the long drop from the apartment or the office window; some took it quietly in two-car garages with the motor running; some used the native tradition of the Colt or Smith and Wesson; those well-constructed implements that end insomnia, terminate remorse, cure cancer, avoid bankruptcy, and blast an exit from intolerable positions by the pressure of a finger; those admirable American instruments so easily carried, so sure of effect, so well designed to end the American dream when it becomes a nightmare, their only drawback the mess they leave for relatives to clean up.”
