Music, Madness, and $10,000
One of the coolest features of the new tower at Wizard Academy is how the library floor extends out from three side-walls (East, West and South) to overlook the lecture hall below. The library floor's iron handrail will have the melody to
The Impossible Dream encoded in the iron collars on the balusters.
Absolutely spectacular.
Too cool for words.
The plaque above will be cast and mounted to the North wall at the beginning
of the handrail just as soon as we have someone's name to add
into the blank space at the bottom of it:
Musical handrail and plaque a gift of __________.
Here's how much we appreciate your gift of $10,000:
1. Your company will receive a day of free consulting with Roy H. Williams.
Such days routinely sell for $7,500 but those clients of the wizard
don't get to stay in Engelbrecht House (because the
student mansion is the property of Wizard Academy.)
2. Since your gift is to Wizard Academy rather than paid to the wizard,
you and your entourage will be welcome to stay in Engelbrecht House
during your time in Austin. Unforgettable.
3. Our friend Bob Hughes of New York has agreed to contact Mitch Leigh,
the very man who wrote the music, to see if he might agree to join us for the Grand Opening Gala in late spring. We'll have a grand piano in the banquet hall. Wouldn't it be awesome in Mitch came and played the song for us?
