Monday Morning Memo

The power of social media lies within the power of the content you post. Do you want to see how social media can become a vehicle for customer acquisition? Watch this video.

It’s all about
Time + Place + Character + Emotion.

The 200+ employee-owners at Kesslers have agreed on a universal policy to guide all their actions: “Do the right thing.” Every person in that company has the authority to do whatever they think is the right thing to do. It sounds crazy but it works wonderfully.

If you want to bond with people, let them see that you value the same things they value. Let them see you do what they would do. Let them look at you and see a reflection of themselves.

Random Quote:

“We are conditioned to think our lives revolve around great moments.  But great moments often catch us unaware – beautifully wrapped in what others may consider an ordinary moment. Like the time my wife was talking with an elderly lady in the Wal-Mart checkout line at Christmas time.  Nervously the lady confided that she was afraid she didn’t have enough money to pay for her groceries.  When she began putting her items on the checkout counter, Brenda handed her credit card to the checker and told her to use it to pay for the lady’s groceries.  Now that was a small thing but it was a special moment!”
