Princess Pennie bought this for you at an auction on Saturday.
It had been donated to Habitat for Humanity by a wealthy couple
who didn’t have space for it in their new home, so 100% of
the money she/you/we spent goes to Habitat.
At four feet wide, it takes a big room for this giant iron lamp to look right.
But hey, the PropertyGuys.com banquet hall in your Wizard Academy
tower is the perfect place, don’t you think?
Right under the round,
recessed ceiling!
Did I mention that it has 12 candelabra lights in a circle on top?
12 months for the earth to make a complete circle around the sun.
12 numbers on the face of a clock, another complete circle.
12 apostles
12 signs of the zodiac
12 Ladies of the Light.
Yeah, I made that last one up.
Cool though, don’t you think?
Seriously, though, Vice-Chancellor Daniel Whittington has been charged
with finding 12 Ladies of the Light to shine on the students and faculty
of Wizard Academy during Academy concerts and at mealtimes.
Is there a woman you’d like to honor?
The 12 Ladies of the Light will be named in the campus guidebook
when it’s finally printed, hopefully later this year. These guidebooks will
be for sale at the academy’s Enchanted Emporium and will facilitate
self-guided walking tours for the more than 50,000 visitors to the
campus each year. These guidebooks will be rich with photos and
explanations of the many wonders of Wizard Academy.
Your donation of just $300 gives you the right to name one of the
12 Ladies of the Light. Just call Daniel Whittington with a credit card
number or the promise of a check to follow. If it’s early or late and you
figure Daniel might be sleeping, email him at Daniel@WizardAcademy.org
and give him a phone number at which he can call you.
You and I both know
these 12 seats of honor are going to be snapped up quickly – Uh-Oh –
Daniel snagged the first of these to honor his wife, Halle (Hal-LAY.)
That just leaves 11…
