The Monday Morning Memo

Some lines are funny because of what they say.
Others are funny because of how they sound.
A third group are those funny, signature lines from iconic movies.

“Release the Kraken”
is therefore triple-funny,
meeting all three requirements.

A movie line has officially entered the popular lexicon
when Sheldon Cooper says it on
The Big Bang Theory.

NOTE: The wizard’s Kraken are a pair of astoundingly good lawyers named Larry and Emilio. He was forced to release them last week when someone was so foolish as to infringe upon his registered trademark. You should have been there. He picked up the phone, dialed the law firm and said, “Release the Kraken.” And then he bowed his head and said a prayer for the soul of the person upon whom the Kraken had been released. – Indiana Beagle
