The Monday Morning Memo

Don’t see a lamp in a beige room. See a geometric construct; an
assembly of shapes. Shape is a language. The curvaceous bow-tie
shadow on the wall. The slices of light seen between the horizontal and
symmetrical mini-blinds. The hot spot that is the light bulb.
The dark wedge in the upper, left corner is the bottom edge
of the upper bunk bed. Shapes. See shapes.

Symbols, however, are more than just shapes. Symbols are specific, sort of like metaphors. Shapes and symbols, statements and expressions, shadows and reflections. That’s what I want you to notice in this rather small assortment of plain photographs on the following pages.

You’ll definitely want to check out this video.
It seems to support Ed Witten’s M-Theory which, as you know, is a
supremely fascinating explanation of time, space, gravity and energy; in essence M-theory explains our universe as vibrating bits of energy, creating a silent symphony of creation.

Random Quote:

“The most merciful thing in the world, I think, is the inability of the human mind to correlate all its contents. We live on a placid island of ignorance in the midst of black seas of infinity, and it was not meant that we should voyage far. The sciences, each straining in its own direction, have hitherto harmed us little; but some day the piecing together of dissociated knowledge will open up such terrifying vistas of reality, and of our frightful position therein, that we shall either go mad from the revelation or flee from the deadly light into the peace and safety of a new dark age.
