The Monday Morning Memo

Ray Seggern, one of my partners in Wizard of Ads, Inc, was using our conference room a few weeks ago for a meeting with Tim Gallagher from California. I popped in for a minute and Tim told me how much Ray has improved his business during the past 2 years.

“Come with me,” I said, “let's take a walk.”

“Where are we going?”

“I'm going to show you exactly what Wizard Academy is going to do with the $8,000 you're about to donate.”

We walked across campus to the steep gravel path that led from the Bells of LaMancha to Engelbrecht House and I said, “Behold Gallagher Lane.”

Tim laughed, so I politely changed the subject and began talking about his HVAC business. I found out later that he slipped into Becke's office and gave her a check for $8,000 just before he left for the airport. A few days later Daniel began building the wide sidewalk forms and ordered the cement. It's smoooooooth.

Wizard Academy needs more friends like Tim Gallagher.

This 16×7 directional plaque will soon be mounted in the gateway of the bell wall. Tens of thousands of visitors to the campus will read it each year.

Thanks, Tim.
