The Monday Morning Memo

Have You Ever Clicked the
WIKIPEDIA Treasure Chest?

Roving reporter Rotbart will be away on a secret mission in Italy for the next two weeks. He didn’t tell us exactly what it was, but here are our top 3 guesses. One: He is studying the original manuscripts of Leonardo Da Vinci for a special series of investigative reports to be aired on PBS this autumn. Two: The roving reporter was invited to the Vatican to meet with the Pope. Three: There is no secret mission. He is just eating gelato at a seaside cafe with his lovely wife, Talya, while gazing at the beautiful Mediterranean Sea. We will update you next week when we know more.
– Ian Rogers, the voice of the Monday Morning Radio promo each week at the end of the audio version of the Monday Morning Memo.

“

Ai is a genius, cocky, scared kid. It’s able to do so much, so quickly — except be human. It can’t do that. It’s able to tell you about anything, about art and war and love — but it can’t express these things in a patently human way, a nuanced way. It can’t.”

“It can’t crawl your brain, regurgitating your personal experiences and emotions. Only you can access yourself. Only you can share your life, the happenstance moments, the trials and triumphs, the details that are unique to you but understood by all, felt by all. Because we’re all the same. Only you can do these things.”

PS – “Ai does not how I felt yesterday when I hit a pole with my car.

“

- Eddie Shleyner, with a PS from Craig Arthur
