The Monday Morning Memo

The cognoscenti
will recall our sessions on
(1.) portals and
(2.) colors.

I’m convinced that complementary colors
are the principal portal colors.
But my theory remains untested.

Complementary:

(1.) Propositions so related that each is
the negation of the other; ‘male’ and ‘female’
are complementary terms.

(2.) Mutually making up what is lacking.
That which completes or brings to perfection.

(3.) Two angles having the sum of 90 degrees.
(4.) Colors directly opposite each other on the color wheel.

Blue & Orange, Red & Green, Yellow & Purple.

When put next to each other, complementary colors
appear to vibrate, mixed together they make brown.

RANDOM – POSSIBLY CRAZY – THOUGHTS

“Other”

Green is the color that we are not.
Plants are ‘other.’

Orange is the color of the afternoon sun
beyond the horizon when shadows grow long. Its location is ‘other.’

Purple
is the color of mystery and mysticism,
the color least common in nature: ‘other.’

Random Quote:

“My nose banged into his sternum with such vigor it began to bleed. So no, you cannot say we stepped through a doorway and met face-to-face.”
