James William Glass Jr. died in 1855 at the age of 30,
eight years before the beginning of the Civil War.
For more than 150 years, this signature hid
behind a decrepit old mat in a busted-up frame.
Today it’s protected behind museum glass and is
displayed across from
Quixote in the Hand of the Giant
in the Don and Sherry Kuhl
art gallery in the tower
at Wizard Academy.
You should come.
