Things To Do In Denver When You’re Dead
A great little film with wonderful performances from Andy Garcia, Christopher Walken and Treat Williams. Interesting as it came from a song (Warren Zevon – Things to do in Denver When You’re Dead).
Scott Rosenberg wrote the screenplay (also wrote another cult classic “High Fidelity”). He juxtaposes a criminal (Andy Garcia) trying to go legit with a new business of preserving people’s memories on tape in a “living” mausoleum with his desire to get out of the crime business by doing one more job.
The job is relatively simple, it gets botched by him and his four recruits, and the chase to kill them for the botched job defines the rest of the film.
