The Monday Morning Memo

Okay, here’s the deal: The Wizard and the Princess and I took Brittington and Rex to Cafe Malta on Friday. This is the first of two different bottles of obscure wine that were ordered. (Cafe Malta is a VERY sophisticated, quietly hidden little Mediterranean bistro in South Austin that serves extremely very good things; appetizer things, soup things, entree things, wine things, etc.) Anyway, I asked Brittington to name what he heard in this first bottle. Next week you’ll learn what Rex heard in the second bottle.

Brittington very correctly heard dusky Twilight and Autumn with a high feminine melody. The wine is from Macedonia, the land of Alexander the Great.
The song is below.

A Beagle Bonus for the Rabbit Hole Tribe:
If you’re willing to kick in $1,000 toward the Kickstarter album project, choose the $1,000 package and then email Daniel@WizardAcademy.org an email with the Subject Line, “I’m with Indy” and the wizard and the Princess and Brittington and me will take you to Cafe Malta for lunch or dinner the next time you’re in Austin.  We already set aside a bottle of this obscure wine AND the one we’ll review next week and told the restaurant to hold them until you arrive in Austin to help us drink them. We’ll order lots of very good appetizer things and soup things and entree things to go with the wine.  (Lunch today was about $300 but worth it.) The wizard will pick up the tab.   – Indy
