The Monday Morning Memo

SprayTan_Mercedes

Devin Wright, a 9-year member of the wizard’s team,
just took possession of this new Mercedes with a custom front tag.

I’ll post a photo of Sean Taylor’s new Porsche convertible
as soon as the weather gets warm enough for him to drive it with the top down.
I think Europeans call it a “Cabriolet,” but I know a convertible when I see one.
Sean’s been with the wizard for 16 years.

Random Quote:

“I feel an infinite contempt for them–and probably have expressed more of it than I intended–for my preliminary chapter has caused the greatest uproar that has happened here since witch-times. If I escape from town without being tarred and feathered, I shall consider it good-luck. I wish they would tar and feather me; it would be such an entirely novel kind of distinction for a literary man. And, from such judges as my fellow-citizens, I should look upon it as a higher honor than a laurel crown.”

- Nathaniel Hawthorne, 1851, nine months after having published The Scarlett Letter, whose unflattering portrait of them infuriated the people of Salem, Massachusetts
