The Monday Morning Memo

StreetPerformer_Paris_760

While we were waiting in line to climb to the top of Notre Dame, this fellow showed up and began to entertain us. The wizard laughed at a lot of great comedy before he finally remembered he had an iPhone. But still, it’s worth watching. Great street art deserves a reward, so I told the Wizard to give the man $20 from me and Pennie and you. The street clown shook the wizard’s hand and grabbed the wizard’s shoulder and said softly, “My brother.” I said, “Dude! It was me that told him to give you the twenty!” So he pointed at me enthusiastically and waved his other arm as he shouted to the crowd, “My dog!”

Random Quote:

“When we recognize the limits of human knowledge and language, we learn to speak in stories, figures, and symbols.

All of us respond natively to symbols, and we all know intuitively how to catch their meaning.

Symbols can evoke deep feelings, longings, and insights because they gain a hearing from more than just the rational, conscious mind…

Symbols are the language of the unconscious mind.”

- Roy H. Williams, based on the writings of Carl Jung
