The Monday Morning Memo

I Did Not Make It Up.

The TV ad showed a young couple moving into their first house, financed by a mortgage from Crocker Bank. Scott Adams of Dilbert fame worked at Crocker during his early years. The bank is said to have inspired the evil Bank of Ethel in his comic strip. Crocker was merged into Wells Fargo Bank in 1986.

Studio 60
was a short-lived series written by the incomparable
Aaron Sorkin. This scene is from “The Christmas Episode” featuring
musicians from New Orleans not long after Hurricane Katrina.
