#7 and #8, Fincher and Ozment (Fincher is on the left.)
Fully life-size, these bronze lions were cast in 1928 and wandered 82 years before they found their home. Wizzo was determined that the guardians of the tower would NOT be a pair of the easy-to-find British “Saint Bernard” lions sitting on their butts. You know the ones I mean. The ones with a paw placed on a globe that sits in front of them.
No. The Guardians of the tower had to stand on four paws, ready to pounce on your ass.
Wizzo looked for these lions for ten years but that’s nothing to the 82 years they wandered the earth, waiting to be found. Thank you, Fincher and Ozment of Tuscaloosa, Alabama, for the funding to purchase this amazing guardians of the tower.
The tower photo at the top of the page is about a year old.
