Typically Americans are not team people except in panic or emergency situations, mostly life/death situations.
How often have you done team or group activies at work, after work, with friends, with your family?
The push for TEAM work started in the 1980s after massive downsizing, right-sizing, correct-sizing that was caused by the economy and decisions by CEOs and top management to save money. Then they realized that the only way work can be accomplished is through “THE WHOLE IS GREATER THAN THE SUM OF THE PARTS” misused idea.
You need to do much more reading than one or two studies before writing articles in your newspaper.
