Jim Henson obviously patterned Floyd Pepper – his muppet rock-guitarist – on Duane Allman and Skunk Baxter.  Allman finished his shift with the Allman Brothers and clocked out early on October 29, 1971. Baxter was a founding member of Steely Dan in 1972 and then became one of the Doobie Brothers in 1974. Floyd Pepper was introduced in 1975. Allman and Baxter both have Floyd’s bushy handlebar mustache, but only Baxter wears Floyd’s shades. You have to watch the video. – Indy
