Jeff and Mia were with me
when I opened this latest bottle from Galilee in Israel. (Mount Hermon is in the Golan Heights.)

I poured for everyone and tasted the wine, but then, knowing that Mia is more than sufficiently synesthetic, I asked her what she heard.

“An upright bass and a jazz guitar, very middle of the road. No, it’s Two for the Road from the album Beyond the Missouri Sky by Charlie Haden and Pat Metheny.”

Bullseye, Mia.
