The Monday Morning Memo

Now all we need is $5,500 to pay for it.
Someone will do this.
Is it you?

Just email your intentions to daniel@wizardacademy.org and at the end of the year you’ll get a tax receipt. The academy is a 501c3, remember? And, oh, your name(s) will be on the big, bronze donor plaque in the hanging-out grotto beneath the cantilever, right behind the horse. “Rampant Rocinante is the gift of____________”

In addition, your gift of $5,500 will qualify you as a major donor to Wizard Academy, allowing you to access to one room in Engelbrecht House or Spence Manor whenever you happen to be in Austin, whether on business or vacation or whatever, provided the rooms are not being used for a class or other event on campus. HINT: Wizard Academy very rarely uses the student mansions on Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays.

Random Quote:

“When we watch television, our eyes and ears stretch to other times and places. Television allows us to see, hear, and experience things that are far away.

A television recording does not present to us the world as it is. It reflects the sentiment that prevailed during the time it was made. It shows us financial and political restrictions. It reveals the personal views of the creator.

Television does not simply capture the actions of the people in front of the camera; it affects the hearts and minds of the people watching it at home.”
